Dear parent/carers,

We have been trying to dismiss in a new way over the last couple of weeks and it hasn’t worked as well as hoped!  We will be tweaking things this week in the hope that things will run more smoothly.  Thank you for bearing with us whilst we work out the best way to move large numbers of people around our small space!

This is a gentle reminder that school finishes at 3.30pm, not 3.20pm.  Dale will open the gates at 15.25 from now on to relieve congestion.  If you can avoid getting here before 3.25 that would help.

Dale will move the scooters from the patio by the sheds and line them up by the front fence in the playground.  Please collect your child’s scooter first.

Reception

Parents can collect their children from Reception as usual.

Year 1 parents

Please wait by the flower bed in front of the Year 1 classroom, rather than in front of the stairs and school gate.  This is causing congestion, so your cooperation would be much appreciated.  The year 1 team will send your child down to you when they see you – a member of the team should be outside to help with this.

Year 2

Year 2 will be dismissed from their classroom as usual.  Parents can wait at the bottom of the patio.

Years 3, 4, 5 & 6

KS2 classes will be lined up in the playground.

Year 6 will be by the back fence

Year 5 will be by the patio fence

Year 4 will be by the gazebo

Year 3 will be nearest the gate.

If parents need to speak to a teacher at length, please wait for them to dismiss all of their pupils and then accompany them back into the classroom, so that you can speak privately & in comfort.  This is so after-school clubs can start in the playground promptly.

Thanks for your help with this.

Note on the OFSTED Inspection

What a way to start the year!  We are really looking forward to receiving the report from OFSTED in around 30 days.  As soon as we have it we will, of course, share it with you.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the parents who completed the parent survey and to all those who sent supportive messages.  It means a lot to the staff to have your support.   Thank you.
