Pupils test the metal of their cross-country medals – it wasn’t real gold!
Pupils enjoy a range competitions and tournaments. Competitions are valuable because they teach pupils the following things:
- That they can’t win unless they participate and that participation takes courage
- That being successful involves practise and effort
- That they can’t win all the time and should congratulate those that have
- That participation can be its own reward if they achieve their individual goals
- That they should encourage anyone who has had the courage to participate
