We introduce pupils to as many different professionals as we can in order to open their minds to possible futures.  Professionals inspire pupils with their work and help them to understand how the subjects they are taught in school can be used later on in life.  They come to realise that many professions are inter-disciplinary in nature and that there are a number of ways into  them.

Visitors have come from a number of fields including a sports, dance, well-known writers, engineering and local charity workers.

We also choose visitors that challenge stereotypes where possible.  Last year the pupils met several female engineers, who discussed some of the issues they have experienced e.g. safety equipment that is not designed to fit women!
