DAILY PROCEDURES AND TIMES
Mornings
Children hate to be late for school. Walking into a class that has already started makes them feel self-conscious and raises their anxiety levels. Being punctual is an important life skill, which parents can help foster by arriving for school on time.
We open our school early, so that children can arrive within a 10 minute window. This avoids traffic jams by coat pegs and on stairways, as well as giving children a ‘soft start’ to aid self-regulation.
School gates open and children come to class 8.45 – 08.55 a.m.
Register 08.55 a.m.
Lessons start 09.00
End of the school day
School ends at 3.20.
Please collect your children on time, as staff have other duties to complete once lessons are finished e.g. after-school clubs.
We request that you contact the school office to let us know if you are going to be unavoidably delayed, as children do become anxious if they are left waiting unexpectedly.
