New Mobile Phone Policy

9th February 2026H Trinity

Dear parents/carers,

The Department for Education has recently issued guidance stating that “all schools should be mobile phone-free environments by default.”  At Holy Trinity we have always taken steps to minimise the use of mobile phones and make sure that they do not disrupt lessons or school life.  However, we have set out our approach to mobile phones in a new policy, as suggested by the DfE.

Only pupils in Year 5 and Year 6, who walk to and from school on their own, and have permission from their parents/carers to carry a phone, may do so.  These must be handed in on entry and will be given back as pupils leave the premises.

Year 5 & 6 parents do now need to sign a permission slip, which can be obtained from the school office.  That is the only change to current procedures.

If parents/carers have an comments on the policy (see link below), please email the school office before Friday 6th March on [email protected].

Working with Artist Emma Jacobs

26th January 2026H Trinity

Reception and year 1 pupils are working with professional artist Emma Jacobs on 2 textiles projects that will be dislayed at the Camden Biennale in the summer.  The Biennale is a bi-annual art exhibition showcasing artwork produced by schools in Camden.  It is held in the Lethaby Gallery, University of Arts building, Kings Cross and is visited by the puplic.

Reception are making Japanese Shibori textiles and Year 1 are making a sari with Warli designs.  Working on special projects like this are one way that we are making our curriculum more representive of different cultures.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

19th December 2025H Trinity

Dear parents/carers,

On behalf of all the staff at Holy Trinity,  I would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.  Thank you for all of your support this term and for your generous seasonal cards and gifts.

I hope you enjoy spending time with your children over the holiday.  I would urge you to limit their time on electronic devices and fall back on ‘slow’ activities, such as jigsaw puzzles, cooking and crafting.  Think back on your childhood memories of Christmas and I bet most of what you treasure is the time you spent with loved ones.  Similarly, your children will remember the time they spent with you and their friends long after the novelty of a new gadget or game has faded.

Enjoy the holiday and we look forward to seeing you back here in 2026.
