Well done to Year 4 who gave a great performance at the Camden Choir Festival last night. They have been practising so hard over the past few weeks and have reached a high standard. It was great to see so many parents at the festival – I am sure you were very proud.
Thanks to Miss Wilson and Mr Miller for giving up their time to support this evening event.
We hope that everyone has a reflective and restful Easter Holiday. We look forward to welcoming you back on Monday 13th April.
There will be a couple of temporary staff changes after the holiday. Ms Bear has been offered the wonderful opportunity to act as Head of School at another Church of England school in Islington, for 3 days per week, for the duration of the summer term. Ms Dillon returned from maternity leave on Monday and will be resuming her role as Assistant Head and SENDCo Monday to Wednesday and Ms Bear will be back at Holy Trinity to take the reigns on Thursdays and Fridays.
The fact that Holy Trinity has been asked to support another school in this way is testament to the strength of the leadership team currently in place. We do not anticipate that this arrangment will disrupt service at Holy Trinity. I am sure you will join me in welcoming Ms Dillon back and congratulating Ms Bear.
Well done to Super House, who earned the most house points this term. The enjoyed a fun house party, which included icing and decorating their own biscuits.

Summer term is nearly upon us and so is the statutory assessment window. It is essential that pupils are in school to take the relevant assessments. Please note that Reception, Year 1 and KS1 assessments are carried out in an age-appropriate way, which is why there is an extended assessment period to facilitate this. Pupils in Reception will not realise they are even being assessed, so we ask parents not to make them aware of it.

On Friday Year 6 completed a pilgrimage walk from Tower Hill to Westminster Abbey to raise funds for charity. So far the pupils have raised £1,087 for their chosen charity, The British Heart Foundation, which is an amazing achievement. Well done Year 6!
The pupils were met at Westminster Abbey by the Deputy Chaplain, who had a special treat in store for them. She took the pupils into the shrine of St Edward the Confessor, which is usually closed to visitors, so that they could share the exact same experience as pilgrims in the past. What a priviledge!
Well done Reception & KS1 for a lovely Mother’s Day Service at Lighthouse London. I am sure your parents were touched by your thoughful messages, poems and prayers. Thanks to Jemima at Lighthouse London for supporting this event.
Year 5 had a fabulous over night stay at The Mill. They enjoyed a long hike through the countryside, marshmallows by the campfire, geo-caching and a low ropes course. This residential prepares pupils (and parents) up for the longer trip to PGL in year 6.
Thank you to Mr Wickings and Ms Littlewood for giving up their time to take the pupils on this exciting trip.
Today Year 6 visited Autograph, a gallery in Shoreditch devoted to showing the work of contemporary artists from diverse backgrounds. They will be creating their own digital work inpsired by the artists they saw. One of the artists creates images using AI, so it was a good opportunity to teach pupils how to spot images created using AI, where the creator has not declared it’s use.
Year 3 had a visit from The Jewish Museum this week. They learnt about Passover and the significance of the Seder plate.
The House Captains represented Holy Trinity at magnificent St Paul’s Cathedral yesterday. Holy Trinity was one of the 155 Church of Engand Schools in the capital to join the annual schools service. This event is organised by The London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), who are a key partner for Church of England Schools in London, providing direction, support, guidance and other services.
The service gives pupils a chance to see the cathedral in action as a place of worship, rather than as a tourist attraction. It also gives pupils an opportunity to appreciate the diversity of Christian practice, as the service is very traditonal compared to those at Lighthouse London.
Thank you to Jemima from Lighthouse for accompanying us.
It has been an exciting couple of days at Holy Trinity. Tuesday was Safer Internet Day – this year’s theme was ‘Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI’. We use age appropriate resources from the UK Safer Internet Centre to explore this them with all the pupils.
There are also resources available for parents at https://saferinternet.org.uk/
Yesterday was a PE Enrichment Day. We plan these days to introduce pupils to exciting new sports & activities that are beneficial to health & wellbeing, but are not part of the curriculum. This is one of the ways we use our PE Premium funding. Enrichment Days ensure that all pupils have an opportuntiy to engage with the activities and get a taste of an activity they might like to pursue independently. This terms activity was Tai Chi, which has benefits for spiritual, mental and physical health.
