Holy Trinity Pupils meet Olympian Sarah Jones

7th July 2022H Trinity

This morning, some of our pupils met Olympian Sarah Jones at the opening of the new Aldi store, in the O2 Centre.  This was a great opportunity for our pupils and we are hoping to talk to Sarah about her sporting achievements again in the future.  Good luck in the Commonwealth Games, Sarah!

National Day to Create

6th July 2022H Trinity

Today was national Day to Create.  Our pupils focussed on observation drawing, which is a core skill in art & design, design & technology and science.  What wonderful work they produced!  Selected works will be on display in the hall gallery shortly.

Holy Trinity Day

29th June 2022H Trinity

It’s Holy Trinity Day today and our children have been focussing our school’s Christian vision.  Each child has completed a feather with their aspirations on it, which will eventually feature in a new mural in the school hall.  Thank you to the group of pupils who created the papers for the feathers.

Picnic in the Park

22nd June 2022H Trinity

Following on from the success of our Platinum Jubilee Party, we would like to invite parents & carers to join us for Picnic in the Park on Tuesday 19th July.  Bring a blanket and a hamper and enjoy the day with your child on Primrose Hill.

Years 1 – 6

Years 1-6 will be leaving school from around 09.30 onwards and making their way to Primrose Hill for some relaxed activities and a picnic.  Parents are welcome to walk over to Primrose Hill with us and spend the day in the park.  Classes will begin returning to school around 14.00.  Children that receive free school meals will be provided with a school packed lunch.

Reception

Reception class will be holding their picnic in the school playground, as Primrose Hill is too far for little legs to manage at this time of year.  Parents are welcome to join them.

We hope to see you there!

Year 5 Residential at The Mill

20th June 2022H Trinity

This year we introduced a new residential trip to The Mill in Dorking.  Year 5 pupils enjoyed a range of activties including negotiating low ropes, shelter building, hiking and orienteering, all designed to teach them how to live well together.  They capped off their busy first day by roasting marshmallows over a campfire, before settling down for an overnight stay.  A great time was had by all!

Holy Trinity Pupils Host Private View at The National Gallery

10th June 2022H Trinity

Last night, four of our Year 6 pupils helped to host the private view of this year’s Take One Picture Exhibition at The National Gallery.  They had the very daunting job of talking to gallery sponsors, artists, members of the press and other dignitaries about their work.  I am so proud of the way they acquitted themselves.  Both Ms Bear and I were showered with praise about them by visitors, who said they were polite, personable, confident and knowledable.  Well done guys!

This was an incredible honour for our pupils and is testament to the quality of the artwork produced by the school.  Holy Trinity was one of only 3 schools selected to host from thousands.  We were the only school to have more than one project in the exhibition too.  Our current Year 2 pupils also feature in the exhibition, which is open until 11th September 2022.  Admission is free.

Picnic in the Park – Tuesday 19th July 2022

8th June 2022H Trinity

A new date for your diaries!

Please dig out your blankets and hampers and join us for a picnic on Primrose Hill.  Classes will start to leave school around 09.30 and start to return to school around 14.00.

Reception will be having a picnic in the school playground, as Primrose Hill is too far for tired little legs to manage at the end of the school year.  Parents are still welcome to join in.

More details will follow nearer the time.
