Raising Aspirations – Meeting Kate Wakeling

3rd October 2023H Trinity

The pupils had a great time meeting poet Kate Wakeling.  Kate visited classrooms to perform her poetry and support pupils to write their own.  At the end of the day, the pupils enjoyed a fun interactive assembly.  Thank you to Kate for coming in.

We aim to raise our pupils aspirations by bringing them into contact with successful individuals from a range of professions.

Reaching Our Potential – Cross Country

2nd October 2023H Trinity

Well done to the Year 3 and Year 4 pupils who took part in the cross country run on Hampstead Heath.  Each pupil was challenged to meet their personal target, whilst encouraging their schoolmates along the way.  Thank you to the parents who supported the pupils at the event.  I am sure all of them appreciated you cheering them on.

Operation Streets Food Project

29th September 2023H Trinity

Thank you to Year 6 for helping to carry all the Harvest Festival donations over the The O2 Centre yesterday.  Their ‘bingo wings’ have had a very good work out this week with all those tins!

If any parents are experiencing hardship, information about Streets Food Project can be accessed by clicking the link below.

Thank You for Our Harvest

28th September 2023H Trinity

Thank you to all the families who donated food for our Harvest Festival.  We are so grateful for your generosity and I am sure that Streets Food Project will be too.  We are all feeling the pinch in our pockets at the moment, but once again you have shown what it means to live well together.

It was great to see  parents at the service to share in the children’s poems and prayers.  We hope you enjoyed the Harvest Samba Song – it’s an old favourite!

Tomorrow ‘Operation Streets Food Project’ will take place!  The older pupils will be helping to transport all of our goodies over to the O2 Centre to demonstrate the Christian value of service to others.

Primary Science Quality Mark

27th September 2023H Trinity

Good news!  Holy Trinity has been awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark.

Primary Science Quality Mark is a yearlong project that focuses on developing effective, confident science leadership for whole school impact on science teaching and learning.

At Holy Trinity we always strive for excellence and quality marks provide a great framework for assessing our existing practice and developing the knowledge & skills of our staff.  Thanks and well done to our Science & Maths Leader, Ms Bear, for working hard to deliver this award.

End of the School Day

18th September 2023H Trinity

Dear parent/carers,

We have been trying to dismiss in a new way over the last couple of weeks and it hasn’t worked as well as hoped!  We will be tweaking things this week in the hope that things will run more smoothly.  Thank you for bearing with us whilst we work out the best way to move large numbers of people around our small space!

This is a gentle reminder that school finishes at 3.30pm, not 3.20pm.  Dale will open the gates at 15.25 from now on to relieve congestion.  If you can avoid getting here before 3.25 that would help.

Dale will move the scooters from the patio by the sheds and line them up by the front fence in the playground.  Please collect your child’s scooter first.

Reception

Parents can collect their children from Reception as usual.

Year 1 parents

Please wait by the flower bed in front of the Year 1 classroom, rather than in front of the stairs and school gate.  This is causing congestion, so your cooperation would be much appreciated.  The year 1 team will send your child down to you when they see you – a member of the team should be outside to help with this.

Year 2

Year 2 will be dismissed from their classroom as usual.  Parents can wait at the bottom of the patio.

Years 3, 4, 5 & 6

KS2 classes will be lined up in the playground.

Year 6 will be by the back fence

Year 5 will be by the patio fence

Year 4 will be by the gazebo

Year 3 will be nearest the gate.

If parents need to speak to a teacher at length, please wait for them to dismiss all of their pupils and then accompany them back into the classroom, so that you can speak privately & in comfort.  This is so after-school clubs can start in the playground promptly.

Thanks for your help with this.

Note on the OFSTED Inspection

What a way to start the year!  We are really looking forward to receiving the report from OFSTED in around 30 days.  As soon as we have it we will, of course, share it with you.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the parents who completed the parent survey and to all those who sent supportive messages.  It means a lot to the staff to have your support.   Thank you.
