The children observed the two minutes silence to mark Remembrance Day today. We feel it is important that pupils understand what is meant by ‘service’ and that they acknowledge the sacrifice it has taken to ensure that we live in a country where we are free to hold a range of beliefs. I was really proud of the way they showed their respect, particularly as the silence was during Year 5’s and Year 6’s playtime. Well done everyone!
Reminder – Friday 25th November is an INSET Day and school will be closed.

Our reception pupils have been observing the life cycle of chicks this week. The chicks arrived as eggs and hatched in the classroom, much to the children’s delight. Handling the chicks has been a very special experience for the pupils who described them as ‘beautiful’, ‘soft’ and ‘sweet’.
