Christmas Message from the Head of School

21st December 2023H Trinity

Dear parents/carers,

Congratulations to the pupils who received their 100% attendance rewards in our final worship of the term.  Each term the names of pupils with 100% attendance are put into a pot and two winners are drawn, who receive an additional reward.  This term’s winners were Kaan & Max!

The winners of the House Badge Competition were also announced.  These were chosen by the Head of School and the House Captains.  Well done to Olivia, Heath & Rion on their winning designs.   The judges were very impressed with the amount of thought that went into the symbolism they used.  The designs will be developed into digital files in the coming weeks that can by used on the house boards and on house correspondence.

Thank you for your support over the long Autumn term.  I’m sure all the staff would like to thank you for your cards, gifts and good wishes.  We are always impressed by your generosity, especially as there are often several members of staff that you show gratitude to.  It is very much appreciated.

I would like to wish you all a restful holiday.  Enjoy the time with your children and we will see you in the new year.

Best wishes,

Ms McCleave

Operation Streets Food Project

29th September 2023H Trinity

Thank you to Year 6 for helping to carry all the Harvest Festival donations over the The O2 Centre yesterday.  Their ‘bingo wings’ have had a very good work out this week with all those tins!

If any parents are experiencing hardship, information about Streets Food Project can be accessed by clicking the link below.

Life in all its fullness – Picnic in the Park & Sports Day

3rd July 2023H Trinity

The pupils had a great time at Primrose Hill on Friday enjoying Picnic in the Park and Sports Day.  It is always lovely to see them pushing themselves to reach their sporting potential, whilst being sporting to their classmates.

Thank you to all the parents/carers that joined us for this event.  Your support and kind comments were very much appreciated.  It was great to see so many of you in action in your own parents’ race at the end!  Well done to all the parents/carers who took part.

Raising Aspirations – Year 3 Reinterpreting Monuments Project

19th June 2023H Trinity

Year 3 had the opportunity to work with the team of professional artists on the reinterpreting monuments project.  The pupils really enjoyed the opportunity to explore a range of processes.  Just a reminder that the pupils’ work will eventually be displayed in a gallery and the public will be able to view it by scanning a QR code beside the monument of Virginia Woolf.

Healthy Schools Award

10th May 2023H Trinity

Great news!  Holy Trinity has been awarded Healthy Schools Status by both the Mayor of London and Camden Council.  A team of staff have been working towards this award over the last few terms, documenting the high quality education pupils receive in PE, Design & Technology, PHSE & Citizenship, as well as the range of enrichment activities we provide, such as Health & Wellbeing Days.

Thanks go to Mr Pastore, Ms Walker and Ms McQueen, who worked on the application!  We also would not have been able to achieve this award without the catering team from Caterlink, who do such a sterling job providing fresh, healthy lunches.

Science selfie – Ms McCleave

7th April 2023H Trinity

Photographing skies in The Thames Estuary.  Originally camera lenses let in light, which reacted with special chemicals to create a negative.  Today’s cameras convert light into digital information that is converted into an image by a computer.

Meteorologists observe different cloud formations when forecasting the weather.  These are mainly cumulus clouds.

Science Selfie – Ms Bear

7th April 2023H Trinity

Here I am in this dark, blurry picture making my way down to the bottom of a well! Wells have been used for thousands of years as a system to access clean groundwater deep below the surface. The well water is drawn up by using either a pump, a bucket or large water bags that are raised mechanically or by hand. Many communities around the world still rely on water wells to get a clean, reliable supply of drinking water today. Luckily, there was no deep water at the bottom of this abandoned well – and I made it back to the top safely!

Ducklings in Year 2

10th March 2023H Trinity

Year 2 have had the sweetest visitors this week in the shape of newly-hatched ducklings.  The pupils have been learning about the life cycles of animals in their science lessons and watching the ducklings hatch brought this to life for them.  Reception class have also been in share in the experience.
