‘Teach a Parent How to…’ Workshop: Addition & Subtraction Methods

If you are confused by the variety of addition and subtraction methods that children use today, then this is the workshop for you!   Some of our brilliant Year 6 pupils will model different addition & subtraction methods and help you get to grips with them.

This is what our parents said.

Year 5 parent – “It was really useful.  I hope you will have another class again, as it will help us to help our children.”

‘Teach a Parent How to…’ Workshop: Observation Drawing

Observing is a skill that is often overlooked, but is a key skill in many areas of the curriculum e.g. science, geography, history, art & design. Taking the time to quietly observe the world around us also has benfits for our mental health & sense of wellbeing.

This will be a hands-on drawing session with Ms McCleave and some of our older pupils on hand to help.

Lilly and Neil from Camden Language & Communication Service will be coming in to share tips on developing children’s language skills through play.
