Primary Science Quality Mark

27th September 2023H Trinity

Good news!  Holy Trinity has been awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark.

Primary Science Quality Mark is a yearlong project that focuses on developing effective, confident science leadership for whole school impact on science teaching and learning.

At Holy Trinity we always strive for excellence and quality marks provide a great framework for assessing our existing practice and developing the knowledge & skills of our staff.  Thanks and well done to our Science & Maths Leader, Ms Bear, for working hard to deliver this award.

End of the School Day

18th September 2023H Trinity

Dear parent/carers,

We have been trying to dismiss in a new way over the last couple of weeks and it hasn’t worked as well as hoped!  We will be tweaking things this week in the hope that things will run more smoothly.  Thank you for bearing with us whilst we work out the best way to move large numbers of people around our small space!

This is a gentle reminder that school finishes at 3.30pm, not 3.20pm.  Dale will open the gates at 15.25 from now on to relieve congestion.  If you can avoid getting here before 3.25 that would help.

Dale will move the scooters from the patio by the sheds and line them up by the front fence in the playground.  Please collect your child’s scooter first.

Reception

Parents can collect their children from Reception as usual.

Year 1 parents

Please wait by the flower bed in front of the Year 1 classroom, rather than in front of the stairs and school gate.  This is causing congestion, so your cooperation would be much appreciated.  The year 1 team will send your child down to you when they see you – a member of the team should be outside to help with this.

Year 2

Year 2 will be dismissed from their classroom as usual.  Parents can wait at the bottom of the patio.

Years 3, 4, 5 & 6

KS2 classes will be lined up in the playground.

Year 6 will be by the back fence

Year 5 will be by the patio fence

Year 4 will be by the gazebo

Year 3 will be nearest the gate.

If parents need to speak to a teacher at length, please wait for them to dismiss all of their pupils and then accompany them back into the classroom, so that you can speak privately & in comfort.  This is so after-school clubs can start in the playground promptly.

Thanks for your help with this.

Note on the OFSTED Inspection

What a way to start the year!  We are really looking forward to receiving the report from OFSTED in around 30 days.  As soon as we have it we will, of course, share it with you.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the parents who completed the parent survey and to all those who sent supportive messages.  It means a lot to the staff to have your support.   Thank you.

Meet the Teacher – Stay & Play

5th September 2023H Trinity

Welcome back everybody!

The pre-loved uniform stall was popular this morning and the parents that made use of it asked me to extend their thanks to those of you that donated items.  This is a brilliant example of the school community living well together.

There are some items left, so we will run the stall again tomorrow in the school hall.

Meet the Teacher – Stay and Play

Last year we combined Meet the Teacher with a free Stay & Play and we will do this again this year.  KS1 & 2 classes will come down to the playground at 15.30, so that parents who do not wish to attend can collect them as usual.  Then teaching assistants will manage the stay and play, whilst parents attend the meetings.  Please note the free Stay & Play is for parents who attend the meeting only.

Dates

Wednesday 6th September 15.30 – 16.00

Year 5 only – due to training commitments

Thursday 7th September 15.30 – 16.00

Years 1, 2, 3, 4 & 6

Wednesday 13th September 15.30 – 16.00

Reception – due to staggered start dates

Pre-loved Uniform Available Tomorrow

4th September 2023H Trinity

Just a reminder that pre-loved uniform will be available in the school hall from 08.45 for parents that need support with the cost of uniform.  If you can, please leave a small cash donation for the items you take.  Any money collected will go towards funding workshops for pupils.

Thanks again to all the parents and pupils that brought in uniform they could no longer use.

Year 6 Leaving Service at Lighthouse London

20th July 2023H Trinity

Holy Trinity bid an emotional farewell to Year 6 yesterday at the service at our church, Lighthouse London.  The pupils’ thoughtful, caring and thankful contributions showed how they have come embody our school vision.  We feel very confident that they will do us all proud at their respective secondary schools.

Thank you to the team at Lighthouse London for their reflections, prayers and wonderful live music.  It was nice to see some parents dancing along.
