Well done Year 6! You set yourself high aspirations, you worked hard to reach your potential and now you are ready to ‘soar on wings like eagles’.
Thank you to the Year 6 teaching team and all the staff that have been involved in Year 6’s journey at Holy Trinity.
Need something fun for your 7-10 year old this summer? Lighthouse London Church are running a Wild West Adventure holiday club on the 8 and 9th August. Click here to view and book on the event, cost £5.00 https://www.lighthouselondon.org/kids-and-youth with a Free BBQ for family at end!
The pupils had a great time at Primrose Hill on Friday enjoying Picnic in the Park and Sports Day. It is always lovely to see them pushing themselves to reach their sporting potential, whilst being sporting to their classmates.
Thank you to all the parents/carers that joined us for this event. Your support and kind comments were very much appreciated. It was great to see so many of you in action in your own parents’ race at the end! Well done to all the parents/carers who took part.
Yesterday Year 6 visited our local church, Lighthouse London for a Transition to Secondary school workshop. The Lighthouse team, Jemima, Tess and Dela encouraged the children to explore Power/ Growth Mindsets and learnt skills in overcoming a Victim mindset. They reflected on their experience so far, shared hopes and worries for their school and learned from the story of Joseph in the Bible and had lots of fun too!
Take One Picture Big Writing
As part of Take One Picture run by The National Gallery – Years 1, 3, 4 & 5 have been doing some quality writing linked to Henri Rousseau’s painting ‘Suprised!’. Their preparation included some quick drama activities.
The Way Back Home Performance for KS2
KS2 pupils enjoyed a drama performance from a theatre group about friendships, as part of their PHSE curriculum.
Year 5 had a fabulous time on their residential trip last week. They were able to enjoy the beautiful countryside and take part in a range of activities. The pupils were a credit to the school, working together to ensure that everyone could join in and be successful in the tasks. Well done, Year 5!
This Holy Trinity Day the pupils have been looking deeper into our school vision and how it drives all that we do at school.
As a treat, the pupils met Alan, The Bird Man, and his collection of eagles. The star attraction was Alaska, an American Bald Eagle, who has several Hollywood credits to her name! Alaska is incredibly well trained and thrilled the pupils when she was in flight. Just look at their faces!
Year 3 had the opportunity to work with the team of professional artists on the reinterpreting monuments project. The pupils really enjoyed the opportunity to explore a range of processes. Just a reminder that the pupils’ work will eventually be displayed in a gallery and the public will be able to view it by scanning a QR code beside the monument of Virginia Woolf.
